Fall Ministry Update 2018

Thanksgiving 2018

Dear Friends,

As we think of the Thanksgiving Holiday, we think of you! We are so thankful for you, our spiritual family! We are grateful for your care, prayer, and support that enables our unique ministry to continue and flourish!

We are excited to share a sample of our more recent events and opportunities the Lord has brought to us this fall - things your prayer and support enable us to do!

1.  Young Business Leaders from Asia

A friend from our college years connected us with another new ministry to young professionals in Asia. What a delight this group was, eager for every spiritual lesson shared in DC. Here’s a note we received later from the group leader:

“We had a trip reunion Wednesday and it was so fun to retell the stories and our experiences in the States. Words cannot express our gratitude. We not only learned spiritual heritage, but also transformed by your living example: a true evangelist, a humble servant and a loving teacher.”

2.  International Students at the University of Maryland

Local friends who serve int’l students invited Bernie to share his popular “The Cross of the National Mall in DC.” With volunteers from the audience replicating the layout of the National Mall (it’s a cross!!), and Bernie’s animated style while frequently quoting the Founding Fathers “in their own words,” these students from around the world really enjoyed a spiritually eye-opening history lesson!

In this photo Bernie is sharing the prayer carved into the mantelpiece in the White House State Dining Room:

“I pray Heaven to bestow the best of Blessings on this House and all that shall hereafter inhabit it. May none but honest and wise Men ever rule under this roof.” - John Adams, 1800

3.  Bernie’s “New Favorite Place in DC!”

In the past year, since the Museum of the Bible opened last year on what would have been Bernie’s father’s 87th birthday, we have taken a couple dozen groups through this remarkable museum. This fall Bernie spoke to a national conference of about 300 home school leaders (HSLDA) to prepare them to get the most out of their afternoon in the museum. His “Biblical Overview of the Museum of the Bible” involved props and audience involvement. Key words included: “Concerning Himself” (Luke 24:27); “Be Transformed” (Rom. 12:2); “Stand Forever” (Isa. 40:2). Email us for more!

4. More Business Leaders

It’s always so good to see the leaders of this ministry to business leaders in Asia, and to meet this year’s group of remarkable entrepreneurs. Each has a heart to be influencers for Christ in their company. They travel to multiple cities in the U.S. meeting successful Christian business leaders. Bernie’s role in DC is twofold: To share the biblical basis of America’s historic foundations, and to model how Christians today can live out those biblical principles. After five intensive days together, Bernie shared a key Bible verse for each person, based on his observations of them. They were so grateful!

We are so grateful to you for helping us touch many lives with the life changing truth of the Gospel!

In His love,

Bernie & Linda Beall
