With Families at Heart and a Heart for the World

June 2015 — Ministry Update

“... tell to the generation to come the praises of the Lord,
And His strength and His wondrous works that He has done.”
                    ~ Psalm 78:4

Dear Friends in Christ,

We hope this summer is finding you at a slightly slowed down pace! Hope you enjoy this picture from a recent ‘styled’ photo shoot at Josh and Kerin's farm, of our family including 8 grandchildren! Christina on the left with Aaron is due with their next child in August, which makes eight grandchildren for us. :-)

A Warmed Heart
Summer is finding Bernie quite busy with many requests for outreach tours with international groups and families. Something that warmed his heart recently was a providential witnessing opportunity that he and a family from Georgia had together. The Washington Monument was closed due to a broken elevator, so they walked over to the WWII Memorial. There were a couple dozen elderly veterans lined up in wheelchairs for a group photo. As they finished, Bernie’s little group, including the teenage children, spoke to each veteran and gave them Bernie’s Gospel flier, “Monumental Words,” which everyone was grateful to receive. At the end of the day, this Christian family said that being able to give a spoken and written witness for Christ was the highlight of their day!

This is the specific vision of what we hope to see God do in our ministry: “Helping families take steps of faith toward greater involvement in the Great Commission.” It’s always a blessing to see the Holy Spirit move people in this way.

A Father Leads
We heard from another family after they had returned home to Illinois that the Dad was so inspired by the spiritual insights Bernie shared about America’s Christian heritage, that he started leading daily family Bible times with his family!

Radio Interview
Bernie was blessed to record an interview for a local radio station about   Francis Scott Key’s testimony and other aspects of our local Christian heritage here in Maryland. After it airs in July, we’ll link to it at our website.

Meanwhile, thank you for your faithful prayers and support for our on-going ministry of evangelism and discipleship with church groups, family groups and international groups here in the greater DC area. Let us know how we might be able to serve you or other folks you know!

May God bless you richly as you walk with Him,
            Linda for the Bealls

An int’l student group at the Washington Monument. Many are surprised to hear what our Founding Fathers actually said. For instance, here Bernie is sharing from the first inaugural address: “No people can be bound to acknowledge and adore the Invisible Hand which conducts the affairs of men more than those of the United States.” G.Washington, 4/30/1789

Bernie shares with Chinese guests in front of JFK’s bust at the Kennedy Center. “The rights of man come not from the generosity of the state but from the hand of God.” - John F. Kennedy, Inaugural Address, Jan. 20, 1961
